A Different Kind of Magic Academy

Actually, all I wanted at first was to be an ordinary shut-in wizard!

I'm a staunch defender of materialism. Isn't it perfectly reasonable for me to transmigrate to a fantasy world and want to become a wizard? Grow magic plants, raise fierce beasts, brew potions, study magic, earn a little money. I wasn't aiming for eternal life or ultimate truth. I just wanted to live comfortably until I died of old age.

But I had no source of magic within me, so magic was out of reach.

Luckily, I had a supposedly "all-powerful" System.

"Cheat, come on!"

The first task is complete. Host, choose your reward.

1. Source of Magic 2. 100 gold coins

People are made of iron, and food is made of steel. Skip a meal and you'll be starving. Magic is an ideal, but gold coins are reality.

I'll take the gold coins! That's perfectly reasonable, right?

The seventh task is complete. Host, choose your reward.

1. Source of Magic 2. A gun with an unlimited magazine

Magic training takes too long, and the world is so dangerous. There's nothing wrong with choosing immediate combat power! Besides, a gun is so cool! What man could resist one?

The forty-sixth task is complete. Host, choose your reward.

1. Source of Magic 2. Transforming Gundam

Gundam, Gundam! I want a Gundam!

System: Do you even still want the Source of Magic or not?

Standing at the pinnacle of magic, I look back on a life of countless hardships and struggle. With a clear conscience, I declare, "I never grew lazy because of the System's rewards, and I never despaired because the System was useless. I earned all of this through my own efforts!"

After enduring this for thirty-seven years, the System could take it no longer. "Disconnect! Disconnect! I want to disconnect!"
