As an orderly Keeper, the Scarecrow followed the guidance of the Dice Goddess and, with mixed feelings, sent three investigators to their respective investigation sites. But the three of them changed the original plot from the very beginning, and things spiraled out of control from there.
[Investigator Mint makes a Psychology check: 1D100=?/10, secret roll.]
As a nontraditional medical student, Mint couldn't help staring at Conan Edogawa with curiosity from the moment he entered her field of vision. She knew he'd accidentally turned back into a child after taking poison.
But after he gave her a childish smile, solved a case alongside her while she voiced the culprit's identity, and invited her somewhere deserted...
The scatterbrained Mint stared at the elementary-school detective aiming a Tranquilizer Dart at her and fell into deep thought.
Conan Edogawa, sweating bullets because he suspected her identity after she'd been staring at him the whole time: ...
[Keeper Scarecrow: ...I told you not to listen to Solomon. You have to put points into Psychology!!!]
[Investigator Solomon loses 6 SAN. Temporary insanity symptom: 1D10=3, violent tendencies; 1D10=6, duration: six hours.]
Solomon Ibn Rubigariel followed a "precognitive dream" to an apartment that was about to explode and take a whole team with it. He stopped Kenji Hagiwara and the other members of the bomb squad, who thought they could easily defuse the bomb.
"Saving one life is worth more than building a seven-story pagoda. Anyway, my conscience is clear."
He finished saying this with a smile, though it was unclear to whom, and was about to continue by using the opportunity to tell the police where the culprit was. Then his temporary insanity made him violently attack the culprit, nearly beating him to death in the street. Luckily, a friend arrived just in time and knocked him unconscious with a blow.
Kenji Hagiwara, who had watched Solomon go berserk at the scene and hadn't yet had a chance to stop him, then saw a beautiful woman who'd appeared out of nowhere hit him on the back of the head: ...
[Keeper Scarecrow: ...I expected you to break the game and save Kenji Hagiwara, but Robin's identity isn't there for you to exploit like this!!!]
[Investigator Robin makes a Disguise check: 1D100=76/75, failure.]
Robin Justice had a face with an Appearance of 90. Dressed as a woman and wearing a wig, he'd just dealt with the bomber at Solomon's request. When he returned to the safe house, two undercover Public Security officers were sitting on the sofa, staring at him with grim expressions.
He was just about to greet them when, after rolling a failed Disguise check, Robin suddenly tripped over nothing. His wig flew off his head and landed with unbelievable precision on the head of a fake liquor whose codename was Bourbon Whiskey.
Scotch Whisky, looking at his long-haired childhood friend with a dark expression and a codename agent laughing on the floor, wondered whether it had been intentional: ...
[Keeper Scarecrow: ...By the Dice Goddess, your good luck with Disguise has finally run out. (Trying not to laugh) (Failing)]
P.S.:
1. For details about the protagonists, see Bilibili user @Keeper Scarecrow. This story is authorized.
2. The Detective Conan timeline has been changed. For example, Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda still haven't encountered the bomber by Conan's first year. This is a rescue story for the Police Academy group. Some plot points will follow the original Scarecrow game card, such as Solomon defying fate only to suffer temporary insanity, then getting physically knocked unconscious by Robin's blow to the back of the head.
3. It's fairly slice-of-life. The CoC elements won't be too prominent.
4. No CP, but other characters may misunderstand things from their point of view.
5. The characters will probably be out of character. Updates will be occasional. Please read with caution.
