The Wizard and the Prince

Once upon a time, there was a castle by the sea.

A vast forest lay to the south of the castle. Rumor had it that a fearsome wizard lived deep within it.

One day, the little prince who lived in the castle chased a fawn into the forest. He got lost and wandered into the wizard's domain.

The wizard wasn't as fearsome as the rumors claimed. He welcomed the boy warmly.

He served him honeyed milk and a fresh strawberry cream cake.

The little prince had never met anyone more beautiful than the wizard, so he asked, "I've never seen a maiden more beautiful than you! Will you be my bride?"

The wizard grabbed him by the collar and tossed him out without a hint of hesitation, then shut the wooden door with a blank expression.

A fairy-tale crossover, made up on a whim.
