As the years go by, Kuroo Tetsuro gradually becomes the familiar person you know. He no longer gets as flustered and nervous when you sneak photos of him. He strikes poses for you and gazes into your eyes with a bright smile.

Kuroo Tetsuro has two childhood friends: Kenma and you.

As he grows older and enters adolescence, he inevitably, or perhaps naturally, falls for you.

He thinks you like him too. Kenma thinks so as well. So one day, while walking home from school, Kuroo deliberately brings up romance and casually asks, "Oto, wanna give dating me a try?"

Instead, he sees you looking as if you'd been struck by lightning, muttering, "Oh no, did I become a dream girl for my fave?"

The next day, he learns that you moved away and transferred schools overnight.

And just like that, his first love was shattered.

Later, during his third year of high school, he spots you in the back row of the opposing volleyball team at a practice match.
