Diary of a Madly in Love Female Alpha [BG]

I'm the passerby female alpha in this tragic romance novel.

I'm just cannon fodder.

In this tale of glitzy, wealthy families at each other's throats, I'm the awful ex-girlfriend of the youngest omega in the family. I'm also his worst romantic entanglement, his most painful memory, his deepest heartbreak, and the first person he ever hated.

I make my entrance as a young, beautiful, top-ranked female alpha who works part-time as a hotel server. I wander into the private room of a high-status omega schoolmate and accidentally spill wine all over him.

In the middle of the story, I'm a shallow, embarrassing female alpha lover with no perspective. I make a failed investment, throwing away the money from my lovesick ATM of a boyfriend.

I betray him, neglect him, and flirt with someone else.

I break the heart of an innocent omega.

Then he dumps me without a second thought.

My final scene comes three years after our breakup. The once-gifted omega runs into his down-and-out ex-girlfriend at a bustling night market. I'm married to an ordinary beta with two children, grilling food and delivering takeout. I look haggard, all my greed and vulgar desires stamped out, unrecognizable from the spirited young woman I once was.

After the omega who once loved me looks down on me and sighs over what has become of me, my story ends.

But something... doesn't seem right.

Furious, confused questions. Relentless attempts to break us up. A lover's contract brimming with threats. The other party seems to have abandoned all reason and still wants to rekindle things with me, to begin a world-shattering romance that defies morality and propriety.

But all I can think, wanting to go home, is how troublesome.

I'm married. Can't you see?

Stop showing up at my door to threaten and bribe me into signing that divorce agreement.

■ Content warnings:

* A tragic romance with a crowd of admirers. The female lead ends up happily ever after with the omega from the synopsis.

* The marriage and children are played by the System. They're simulated, not real.

* Every former lover is a little deranged. The female lead never loved any of them before, though she did fall for an insignificant passerby. Includes some non-consensual pursuit. A Rashomon-style narrative. I hate you, but I love you more.
