Starting by Taking Out the Black Organization's Boss

It was a beautiful, sunny day.

Everything was so peaceful and lovely.

A young detective from Osaka was caught in a love triangle between his childhood friend and a brilliant girl who excelled at karuta.

A limited-edition private car drove past them.

Aside from being excessively luxurious, it seemed no different from any other car.

It looked like the most ordinary day in the world.

Until...

"Bang!"

With a deafening crash, a high-powered armor-piercing round shattered the car's bulletproof glass. Blood sprayed behind the car like a smashed watermelon, and Karasuma Renya, the Boss of the Black Organization, was officially pronounced dead.

On a distant rooftop, someone packed away a sniper rifle and strolled downstairs at an unhurried pace.

"Hey, System, does this count as completing the mission?" the person asked with a smile.

System: …

The System hugged itself, trembling.
