Zhou Yu has had a thoughtful "guy best friend" by her side since childhood.

Aside from her parents, Duan Xiqiao is the person Zhou Yu trusts and feels closest to.

Then one day, a guy on the sports team from the class next door asks Zhou Yu to hang out that weekend.

She's tempted, so, as usual, she asks her "bestie" what he thinks.

"Go for it," Duan Xiqiao says, sounding indifferent. He even helpfully suggests, "He's been training all week, so he must be exhausted. How about going to the library?"

So at the library that weekend, Zhou Yu and the athlete sit beneath a "Silence Please" sign, staring at each other without a word. They barely speak all day.

After that, Strategist Duan comes up with one "brilliant plan" after another.

Duan Xiqiao: I wouldn't go to the game. Losing in front of you would be even more embarrassing.

Duan Xiqiao: Athletes have to watch their figures. Forget the cookies, just give them to me.

Duan Xiqiao: You should return the gift. Once material things get involved, relationships between men and women become tacky.

Just as expected, Zhou Yu and the athlete drift further and further apart. Then one night, Zhou Yu realizes he's deleted her and blocked her!

Zhou Yu is bewildered, and only a little sad. Even then, she thinks the athlete must be the one at fault.

Duan Xiqiao would never lead her astray!

On the night of their graduation dinner, Zhou Yu numbly covers her lips, which have just been kissed. His unfamiliar, burning breath still lingers, but she is already finding every excuse she can for Duan Xiqiao.

"No." Duan Xiqiao kisses her again and rests his forehead against hers, his breath scorching. "I've been pursuing you for so long. Do you get it now?"

In everyone's eyes, Cen Xingyue and Fu Mingchuan are complete opposites.
