Zheng Tingkai and Xiang Wansu have a conflict they can never make peace over.
Zheng Tingkai said, "Then be my attendant."
Xiang Wansu agreed. "But you have to pay me."
And so Xiang Wansu became Zheng Tingkai's personal housekeeper. Whenever she returned to class, she would hand him a stack of love letters. "You're pretty popular. Quite a few people have asked me to pass these along."
"Did you charge them?" Zheng Tingkai didn't open them.
"Of course. Fifteen each." Just enough to buy a sea cucumber.
