One day, You Zhu was bound to a System and transmigrated into a book. He had to play the book's cannon-fodder simp top, follow the plot to the end, then exit the story and choose a generous reward.

System: Go ahead and simp as much as you like, and your partner can be as difficult as they want. You'll both be written out soon. So easy~

You Zhu thought it sounded fun, so he followed the System's instructions and prepared for a fateful encounter with his assigned partner.

According to the original plot, You Zhu would push open the private room door and see his kind-faced, evil-hearted partner deliberately fall to the ground, with the protagonist bottom and his friends standing nearby.

And then...

You Zhu pushed the door open. There really were several handsome young men with varied charms standing there, looking hostile. But what lay on the floor was...

A heap of bloody flesh.

You Zhu: ...Now this is more interesting.

Under everyone's strange gazes, You Zhu rushed over without hesitation and embraced the pile of "partner," saying each word distinctly: "My darling."

The System hadn't expected that its first time taking someone into a book would turn a melodramatic romance into endless weirdness.

It promptly gave up. It never imagined that even with the Host's partner gone, the Host would keep up the act and play the "simp" role.

But, Host, don't go too far! Don't accept other people with a clear conscience while muttering about your dead partner!

You'll die quickly in a horror show like this!

You Zhu: Can't help it. My partner has too many secret identities, so I'll play along as a "simp."

The moment Xi Sang saw the young man, he felt that the words "my darling" should have been meant for him.

Unfortunately, that heap of bloody flesh couldn't be restored, so he could only take on different identities and gradually claim a place in the man's heart.
