Aiden Rosenberg is an ordinary billionaire.
That may sound annoying, but he really is an ordinary billionaire.
You see, he has neither a life of debauchery and nightly revelry nor a sudden transformation into a superhero soaring into the sky. Like any ordinary billionaire, he works hard, regularly takes part in charity events, pays his taxes on time, and obeys the law. Apart from having the world's tenth-largest personal fortune, which is enough to make people jealous, he has no other blemishes on his record.
Compared with the billionaires ranked above him, he has a much better public image.
After years of hard work, his business has spread across the globe. During an interview, a reporter asked the same old question: "What would you say is the secret to your success?"
The young billionaire, who had been sitting upright, heard the question and let the faintest smile cross his lips. "I once bought a plot of land in the center of New York City and built the 86-story Central Tower. Once completed, it would become one of the Rosenberg Group's landmark buildings and attract more than 500 companies."
The reporter nodded in understanding. "So it was your far-sighted investment strategy that made the tower a success."
"Quite the opposite. The day its main structure was completed, a certain red tin can and a giant green guy fell from the sky and smashed my building to pieces."
Reporter: ...
Someone in the audience: ...
The man's violet eyes swept over the "culprits" below with a malicious grin, but he was still not done. "From that day on, I knew that if you want your wealth to grow quickly, the best thing to do is let certain people knock your building down."
"That way, you can get at least double the compensation without lifting a finger."
Reading notes:
1. The central idea has been revised several times. Let's see how the final version develops. It may not be satisfying, but it will definitely be fun.
2. The protagonist has no superpowers and isn't a kind, innocent person. He's calculating and knows how to get what he wants, so don't read if that bothers you.
3. The pairing is tentatively with the old Batman, but it hasn't been finalized. There is very little romance.
4. The update schedule hasn't changed. New chapters will still drop every day at 10 a.m.
