Male high school student gong vs. “wicked stepmom” shou
One day, I discovered that the world I lived in was a novel.
My dad’s ashes had barely cooled. He was a cannon-fodder gong in the book, and before the seventh-day memorial had even passed, not a cent of his huge inheritance went to his three biological sons. It all went to a man with no connection to us: Song Yun.
Song Yun used to be my dad’s assistant, and he was also the protagonist of the novel. My dad would go completely stupid whenever he saw Song Yun, like an old flame suddenly flaring up. In the end, he burned himself right into an urn.
According to family etiquette, I was supposed to call Song Yun “Mom.” On the other hand, aside from my dad, Song Yun had several twisted, unhealthy relationships in the book.
Gong number one was my eldest brother, a hypocrite with half a bellyful of schemes. He was also the book’s repressed, unhinged gong. He had always been secretly in love with Song Yun, who was his senior at school, and resented Song Yun’s relationship with our father. So after our dad died, he went completely crazy and got together with Song Yun.
Gong number two was my second brother, the book’s devoted, loyal-dog gong. I thought he was an idiot. He was bewitched by Song Yun’s wicked appearance and did whatever he said. Song Yun could probably play him as easily as a dog, given how low his IQ was.
Whether I should call Song Yun “Mom” or “sister-in-law” was a very confusing question. Maybe Song Yun would get together with other men later in the novel, but I wouldn’t live to see that, so I wasn’t sure.
Before any of that, I refused to give in to Song Yun’s sexual intimidation, and my ending was to be poisoned to death by this “Mom.”
Last month, Song Yun had already moved into my house. I had no idea when he might poison me, so I never ate anything he cooked, hoping to stay alive a little longer. But my money was bound to run out eventually.
“Give me money.” With my card canceled, I held out my hand to Song Yun without a trace of emotion.
I was only in my second year of high school, still a year away from adulthood. My guardianship, along with my dad’s huge inheritance, had fallen into Song Yun’s hands.
“I don’t have any money.”
In the study, Song Yun looked at me, his eyes curling into a smile like hooks. His thin lips said the most awful thing in the world.
I was furious.
Stingy, wicked, debauched: Song Yun had the blackest heart in the world.
And before poisoning me to death, this cruel man wouldn’t even give me ten yuan.
I hated him more and more. I was going to push him into the river and drown him.
But he seemed to know how to swim (o_0)

1. Both leads are each other’s one and only.
2. Not recommended for readers who are especially protective of either the gong or the shou.
3. The gong is a good person, but a bit eccentric.
4. A silly comedy with little concern for logic.
5. He isn’t actually a stepmom.
