[Douluo Dalu] The Background Character Doesn't Want to Carry the Banner

Jie An died in a car accident. The good news: he was reincarnated and retained his memories from his previous life. The bad news: the world he was born into was a book. The good news: he'd read it and remembered some of the plot. The bad news: he only remembered the general outline, and everyone had somewhat messed-up values. He'd even made fun of them.

He couldn't steal the protagonist's golden finger, nor did he have the ability to do so. All he could do was pray that he could keep his head down and make it through life.

But fate had other plans. During Martial Soul Awakening, Jie An was clutching a dandelion taller than himself when his grandfather threw both him and the dandelion at the protagonist. He wanted to run, but the protagonist was stubborn, dragging him along on an adventure across the continent.

It was bad enough that the protagonist was stubborn, but what was with everyone else? He was just a support. Why did they all look at him with such fear?

Content warnings

1. Since I've transmigrated, I'm giving him a pretty powerful golden finger: twin Martial Souls, one Daqiao and one Yingcao. The main appeal is their skills and other interesting aspects, though they're quite different from the game.

2. There are aspects of the Douluo novels I didn't really like, so of course I'll change things in this fanfic. There may be a lot of out-of-character moments, so feel free to drop it if that's not your thing.

3. The plot may diverge quite a bit from Douluo Dalu. I haven't finished reading Douluo Dalu either; I just happen to like the Martial Soul concept. Read it if you like it, but don't force yourself if you don't.
