Novel blurb: The love-interest-steals-the-hero genre.
Sang Yusu was a poor boy from an ordinary background. Then, through sheer luck, he ended up with a boyfriend from a wealthy family.
His boyfriend was rich, handsome, and gentle, and their relationship was blissfully sweet. His friends all disapproved, but Sang Yusu didn't care. He loved him deeply.
-
Recently, however, Sang Yusu sensed a crisis in their relationship.
He discovered that his boyfriend's friend was in love with his boyfriend. That night, he dreamed that his boyfriend was the love interest in an urban romance novel, and the protagonist was his boyfriend's friend, Pei Jigui.
As for Sang Yusu, he was the novel's third supporting character: stupid, foolish, and vicious.
Sang Yusu: The sky is falling.
No wonder his boyfriend was blind enough to fall for him. It was all because of the plot, sob.
Sang Yusu clenched his fists, determined to defy fate!
Who says the plot can't be changed? With enough effort, it doesn't matter who the protagonist or love interest is! He'll change everything.
-
Sang Yusu presented his boyfriend's friend with a plate of carefully cut fruit. The huge diamond ring on his finger sparkled brilliantly.
He struck a coy pose, hand over his heart, and boasted, “Cheng Xiao's been so busy lately, I haven't had a chance to feed him fruit myself.”
Or, while they were discussing business, he would plop himself into his boyfriend's lap. Facing everyone's dumbfounded stares, his pretty face blossomed into a gentle smile. “Please, carry on.”
On rainy days, after deliberately getting soaked, he would video-call his boyfriend's friend to show off his new designer clothes, bags, and sneakers worth tens of thousands.
Pei Jigui's Adam's apple bobbed. His voice was husky. “Show me a little lower.”
-
After Sang Yusu had asserted his claim time and again, he noticed that his boyfriend and his friend were growing distant.
He breathed a sigh of relief.
Just as he thought he had completely saved their relationship...
Pei Jigui finally lost control and kissed him fiercely, his burning palm clasping Sang Yusu's back. “I love you...”
“Wait, what did you say?” Sang Yusu exclaimed in shock.
Pei Jigui paused. “...Dump him and marry me!”
Sang Yusu: ?
Weren't you supposed to be in love with my boyfriend?! Weren't you the protagonist? How did things end up like this?

Coming soon: My Proud Dragon Protagonist Disciple Torments His Cat Master. Please add it to your reading list.
Blurb: The master is a calico cat who has become a spirit.
A goofy master who is the love interest versus a possessive, scheming, universally adored protagonist
The Sui'an Sect, whose name means “take things as they come,” has three members: the master, Wang Chao; the elder, Wang Miao; and the newest disciple, Shen Fujun.
Shen Fujun grew up under Wang Chao's “loving” guidance. For instance, he had to swallow a poisonous serpent's gallbladder whole, wrestle a brown bear in the back mountains, and even when he fell into the Pool of Ten Thousand Flames, his master merely reassured him from the air that he would be fine.
Shen Fujun: ...Of course you're fine.
He had always thought his master was strange. More than once, he'd seen Wang Chao talking to animals. Wang Chao especially liked to lick his palm after eating fish, and wherever he went, he would flop down bonelessly, just like a cat.
Then one day, when Shen Fujun had grown up and Wang Chao took him on a journey, he realized there was something unusual about his disciple.
In a secret realm, the demon empress confessed her love to him: “Shen, I'll give you five hundred years of my cultivation to increase your power, all just to earn a single glance from you.”
But the demon empress went to the wrong room and poured out her heartfelt confession to Wang Chao instead. It was like talking to a cow.
The Penglai fairy, who had never been moved by mortal love, said, “With Brother Shen here, my heart is at ease.”
Wang Chao awkwardly rubbed his nose. “Fairy Yuyao, I'm wearing my disciple's white robes today.” You've mistaken me for someone else.
Even the leader of the Hehuan Sect couldn't resist drugging him in the middle of the night. “I must have you.”
Wang Chao, who had been dragged into the mess and was lying motionless on the bed, dared not move. He desperately covered the tip of his tail as it poked out. “Disciple, you'd better explain yourself.”
And then his disciple turned dark...
With red eyes, he tied his master to the bed and demanded in a menacing voice, “Why have you attracted so many women since we came down the mountain...”
“Why do you only look at them now, and never at me?”
“Master, you can only be mine. For all eternity.”
Frightened, Wang Chao revealed his fluffy cat ears and a bushy, alluring tail. Without realizing it, he scrunched up his face and scolded his rebellious disciple. “Meow~~”
He immediately clamped his mouth shut.
Shen Fujun stared at his master's soft ears, his gaze dark and his voice hoarse. “Hmm? Master, what are those?”
Wang Chao made a face that said he had no idea how to explain. ...Junior brother, save me!! Come at once!
Wang Chao: I should have you leave the sect. Stop tormenting this poor cat on the mountain.
Theme: Overcoming prejudice against others is part of making peace with yourself
It's hard to comment on Cheng. He didn't take the relationship very seriously. He showed details, didn't respect the feelings of his partner, and didn't explain after the drinking party. In fact, the weight in his heart is different. The protagonist is not the person he loves, but the person he likes. Whether it's been a hundred days since his friend didn't know the protagonist's existence, or Cheng's friends didn't respect the protagonist enough, and Cheng's lack of maintenance, they all showed that even without Pei, the two of them can't get along. The current paragraph describing him is very consistent with the image of his ex-boyfriend, with attention and no love. Come on!
Good guy, no wonder you are being pried into a corner. This is such a bad behavior. Sooner or later, your current boyfriend will turn into your ex-boyfriend.
Pei Jigui: Poor, I don't want it at all! Not at all!!
The baby is obviously earned by him, okay?
Why did the short sentence in this chapter suddenly change?
6 Yuan of mixed powder is so expensive.
