Drowning Butterfly

On a bitter winter night, I saw a butterfly resting on the window lattice.

Everyone said butterflies couldn't survive until spring. Only Ji Ning told me it would make it.

So every morning, after waking in my hospital bed, I made a habit of looking toward the window.

Later, Ji Ning disappeared, and the butterfly died.
