Off the Rails, Burning

Liang Shuyin is well-mannered and knows her place, with a gentle, water-like temperament. Her first half of life raced along a predetermined track. After returning from studying abroad, she followed her parents' arrangements and became a professor of Chinese at Yundu University.

Everyone cares about which path she should take, but no one cares which path she wants to take. Countless compliments and accolades have become towering walls pressing down on her shoulders, pinning her in the role of the outstanding one.

Behind her excessively orderly life lies a stagnant pool, with rotten roots and dead leaves steeping in it, and mosquitoes swarming above.

Xie Zhier, like a wild lynx untamed, clumsily barges into this unclaimed territory. Unbound by rules, she bravely leads Liang Shuyin to shatter the mirror of her life.

Before meeting Xie Zhier, Liang Shuyin was confined by dogma.

After meeting Xie Zhiyi,

"My life went off the rails, and my chains went up in flames."
