Mirror: Twins
Twin lotuses are a sign of good fortune and celebration, embodiments of kindness and beauty.
When the twin sisters were born with their hands still entwined, Meng Qing named them Fang Bindi and Fang Lian, hoping they would be as lovely as twin lotuses.
But she never expected that her discord with her husband would eventually drive the sisters apart.

At twenty-two, Meng Lian, who had been in so many relationships that their number exceeded her age, fell sincerely in love with a man: a man who was, officially, her older sister's fiance.
On the way to the hotel, Jiang Yanhuai carried her in his arms. Meng Lian clung to him and complained in a tearful voice, "Jiang Yanhuai, could you please not be so good to me? I can't love you too much."
Thinking she was acting spoiled and vying for his attention while drunk, Jiang Yanhuai replied gently, "It's all right. I can love you enough for both of us."

Meng Lian was in charge of winning over Jiang Yanhuai, while Fang Bindi was in charge of sorting out Meng Lian's studies.
Fang Bindi thought everything would go according to plan.
But on the very first day she went to class,
her plan was ruined by Jiang Jipei, who had lost a game of truth or dare and appeared in front of her to confess his feelings.
Fang Bindi tried her best to avoid Jiang Jipei, but he always managed to appear in her line of sight with ease.
On New Year's Eve, Fang Bindi was lying alone in Meng Lian's bedroom when Jiang Jipei called her on video.
When she answered and saw him downstairs, Fang Bindi grabbed the coat beside her and went down.
After sixteen years without celebrating New Year's Eve, Fang Bindi found herself at the center of a circle drawn by Jiang Jipei, who held a sparkler.
The boy raised both hands, holding sparklers as he drew one circle after another around her.
In the faint light of the sparklers, Fang Bindi, bewitched, agreed to be with Jiang Jipei.
Next semester, they would also team up to study the school's intangible cultural heritage activities.

Jiang Jipei stared gravely at the chess piece held by his uncle, Jiang Yanhuai.
Su Youxia, who had squeezed in between them to watch the excitement, couldn't understand the battle on the chessboard. She looked from side to side, eyeing the two phones on the table with growing curiosity.
The phone on the right suddenly lit up. Su Youxia hurried over, delighted. At only three years old, she couldn't read what was on the screen, but she could see a pretty young woman she'd never seen before.
She hadn't finished investigating this phone when the one on the other side lit up too, and Su Youxia eagerly headed left. Different phones, the same pretty young woman. Confused, Su Youxia looked at her uncle and cousin and asked, "Uncle, Cousin, why are your phones exactly the same? Are they popular? Can you buy one for Xiaxia too?"
Jiang Jipei and Jiang Yanhuai hadn't understood what Su Youxia was saying, so they looked at her in confusion.
Both phones lit up at the same time again. The identical lock-screen photos turned the confusion in their eyes to shock.
Were they both being cheated on?
