This story is the previous life of The Thirty-Six Stratagems on Paper.
The protagonist, Die'er, possesses memories from a future life. In the 21st century, Die'er is a pair of twins: Shi Xiaohui and Lin Yue. In ancient times, she is Miaomiao, the illegitimate daughter of Qiuju and Master Lin. She lives with her weak and ineffectual mother until the age of eight, when her biological father, Lin Qiangsheng, abducts her and raises her in the Tang residence. Because she possesses memories of the future, outsiders believe she suffers from a strange illness: she is afraid of moonlight. On nights when the moon is full, if its light falls upon her, she becomes dazed and confused, or even goes mad. Moonlight is the key that unlocks her future memories. When she sees a stone beneath the full moon, the memories of her future self, Shi Xiaohui, awaken. When she sees Jiangnan beneath the full moon, the memories of her future self, Lin Yue, awaken. Jiangnan, or Jiang Yifeng, is the man destined to be hers in every lifetime.
The story begins with Jiang Yifeng, carrying out his mother's mission to find Miaomiao, who was abducted by her biological father. After enduring many hardships along the way, Jiang Yifeng finally meets Die'er. What sparks will fly between them? Between dreams and reality, past lives and the present, how will their love across lifetimes continue? And what will become of Zijian, the older brother who has always stayed by Die'er's side and grown up with her in the Tang residence? On one side is devoted Zijian, and on the other is Jiangnan, her fated love from a past life. How will Die'er choose? The whirlpool of emotions grows ever deeper, ever more tangled and bewildering...
