Hey, Detective Conan, what is going on with you...
I was browsing online during a break at work when I found out the IP had suddenly imploded... Hey, hey, hey.
I might change the blurb later. I'll wait and see.
As a weather forecaster and host of a morning horoscope program, one of Tian Gong Fujino's daily duties was to report the weather and predict the day's fortunes.
Although this part-time job might sound a little unscientific, Tian Gong Fujino came from a family with a long tradition in the field, so she took it in stride.
Her distant cousins could use spiritual mediums to make people appear and disappear. She couldn't do that, but surely she could use dice to tell good fortune from bad.
No, it wasn't superstition. It was just a way of developing humanity's mysterious sixth sense, which had yet to be fully understood. :)
One day, halfway through a recording, Tian Gong Fujino had just begun describing the signs of someone destined to have terrible luck when a cameraman nearby, who matched several of them, suddenly coughed up blood, convulsed, and collapsed.
A detective who happened to be there as a guest immediately sealed off the scene and listed her as one of the suspects.
A little kid who had come along with the detective tugged at her clothes, smiling innocently as he asked:
"Big Sis, how did you know that man was going to get hurt?"
Tian Gong Fujino: Uh...
Look, even if her family was a little on the spiritualist side, this really wasn't her fault for having a bad-luck mouth!
"Kiddo, that gentleman did look like the sort of person who'd get into trouble, but I didn't predict this."
To prove her innocence, she quietly confided in the sharp-eyed child. "The culprit who poisoned him is right over there. You were circling them just now. Doesn't that mean you already suspected them?"
Just look at that culprit: so full of holes that even an elementary schooler could see through them.
So it shouldn't be strange that she noticed, right?
Elementary schooler, his glasses glinting: ...Oh?
Some time later, an old classmate invited her to dinner and asked during the meal, "I've heard you say you're going on the show several times. Has your work as a host been that busy lately?"
Tian Gong Fujino gave an awkward smile. "Not exactly. There's another reason I go on the show, but it's hard to explain."
So what on earth was going on? How had a professional spiritualist suddenly become a rising star in the detective world?
A few notes:
1. The heroine is smart. I can't write an idiot. Divination and mediumship are just supplementary tools; solving cases still has to follow the basic rules.
2. The heroine considers herself an ordinary person. She doesn't get involved with the Black or White factions, but ordinary people still call the police immediately when they see criminals.
3. A crossover including some mystery anime, such as Kindaichi and Detective Conan, as well as Ace Attorney, Ace Attorney Investigations, and a few slice-of-life series. The focus is on cases.
4. No redemption. Sorry, the story begins in the year the little shinigami arrived.
5. Go easy on the romance disaster. I don't know who the male lead will be either.
Theme: Outlaws will eventually face justice.
