Everyday life and romance, with feelings taking up 90% of the story. A light, sweet treat with no concern for logic. The main characters are all adults in this version. 2. The timeline is a big mishmash. I'll explain things in the author's notes. 3. The main story is a Teacher Geto AU. 4. The story begins when the heroine is still an ordinary person. The focus is on the couple dating, while leveling up and fighting monsters are glossed over. 5. This is self-indulgent, out-of-character fic. You can tell the overall style from the first three chapters, so if it's not your thing, please feel free to leave! No need to force yourself w 6. There is a romance subplot with Umi and others, but it's very minor, just a few lines. Please decide for yourself if you want to avoid it. A sweet, healing story about a pair of bickering rivals who fall for each other. ---Below is the synopsis for my upcoming story, Zero-Point Scheming. Please add it to your favorites~--- Male lead has a crush on the female lead | Energetic sweetheart x taciturn, jealous king | High school through college Back in high school, no one thought Wen Qizhu and Zhou Huaiyu would ever become close. One was the head of the arts club, pretty and cheerful, with a wide circle of friends. The other was the top student, aloof and distant, and not much of a people person. The only time they ever interacted was when Zhou Huaiyu carried the whole class's homework past Wen Qizhu and said four cold words. "Excuse me." - No one knew what happened that summer after the college entrance exams. Zhou Huaiyu penned Wen Qizhu in between his arms, kissed her starting at the chin, each kiss hotter and more passionate than the last. When she tried to pull away, the boy held her chin, brushed her lip with an intimate nuzzle, and said in a hoarse voice: "Can we kiss a little longer?" - At college, rumors spread that Wen Qizhu was dating another guy. Everyone said they made a perfect match. As luck would have it, they were both hosting the school anniversary event, standing side by side, looking every bit the happy couple. A nosy classmate asked, "I heard you two were classmates before. What do you think of them together?" Sitting in the audience, Zhou Huaiyu watched the two of them smile at each other onstage and said flatly, "We were ordinary classmates. We weren't close." The classmate took the hint and didn't ask any more questions. After the event, though, Zhou Huaiyu was nowhere to be seen. He stood backstage, expressionless, blocking Wen Qizhu's way. Wen Qizhu lifted her skirt and looked up at him with a polite smile. "Excuse me, classmate." Zhou Huaiyu advanced on her step by step, grabbing her wrist as his scorching breath swept over her with overwhelming intensity. He spoke each word in a cold, stubborn voice: "I never agreed to break up." "So everyone else comes after me." - Everyone knew Zhou Huaiyu was cold through and through. But no one knew he'd once held someone's hand with all the passion in his heart, willingly bowing his head in devotion. *Love isn't even a word, just the subtext between the lines. *Inspired by Bai Dao's Daydream Theme: Hold love for all in your heart and work together to build a happy life.
