The Tearful Beauty After Marriage

Hai Danzhu is the only daughter of the Grand Princess, born to a life of privilege.

Perhaps her family and several older brothers protected her so well that she grew up too innocent and carefree. When she reached marrying age, she suddenly developed a peculiar problem: whenever she interacted with a man her age, she became shy.

A few glances were enough to make her cheeks flush. A mere touch of hands made her eyes shimmer with pitiful tears.

This left the Grand Princess and her husband at their wits' end. After finding no cure, they could only keep the matter secret and look for an upright gentleman who had no interest in women. Even if the couple lived together with mutual respect and nothing more, they could still spend their lives together.

As it happened, General Shen Ya was twenty-five and still unmarried. People said that the martial arts he practiced required him to maintain his pure yang, so he could not go near women.

Hai Danzhu had seen him from afar. He looked fiercely imposing, aloof and cool, and surely wouldn't cling to her after they married. She was very pleased.

The two families came to an agreement at once. But on their wedding night, the groom, his eyes bright with wine, lifted her veil and was just about to go further when Hai Danzhu curled up in disbelief and shrank into the corner of the bed.

The lovely young woman stared wide-eyed at him. "Husband, aren't you going to keep your pure yang anymore?"

Shen Ya met her clear, dark eyes. His throat bobbed. After a long pause, he said, "Once I turned twenty-five, I could regain it. Otherwise, why would I have married?"

He looked at the blushing woman, pink from head to toe, her face as hot as a peach blossom, still desperately trying to hide from him. Only then did he realize: had he married a little white rabbit he could only look at?

[Little Scene]

At first, General Shen found it troublesome. "If I can't touch her, why did I marry a wife?"

Later, he coaxed her in a soft, pleading voice. "I won't touch you, Zhuzhu. Please stop crying."

Under his broad palm, Hai Danzhu kept shedding tears, feeling utterly wronged. "I... I can't help it..."
