1. Jiang Yuanzhi first met Ji Shiyuan at a sudden confession event.

As an exchange student, she got lost, overheard the campus darling Ji Shiyuan coldly turning someone down, and accidentally ruined her birthday party.

The hundreds of calls Ji Shiyuan made went unanswered.

3. When they met again, Ji Shiyuan was the chief researcher at an oceanographic institute, while Jiang Yuanzhi was just a junior news reporter.

Forced to work together, Ji Shiyuan remained the center of attention wherever she went. The two were almost at each other's throats, and their mutual hostility was plain to see.

Someone nearly shoved her over, but a pale hand caught her around the waist. Ji Shiyuan stood up for Jiang Yuanzhi, then pulled her somewhere else.

A surge of anger rose in her, and she scolded her:

"Is this how I taught you to act?"

All these years apart, Ji Shiyuan's dreams always ended with those hundreds of unanswered calls.

She kept thinking that when Jiang Yuanzhi finally showed up, she would make her admit she was wrong and apologize, make her feel what Ji Shiyuan had felt back then.

But as she watched Jiang Yuanzhi's tears roll down her cheeks, Ji Shiyuan fell silent for a long time. Her face stiff, she asked:

"Tell me, do you still want to be together?"
