※ Pretty village belle × prince-syndrome miserly young master
[Girl-dog romance, self-convinced pursuit, face-slapping and falling hard]
[Lighthearted, pure romance, a rural Pride and Prejudice]

Word had it that Jin Yan, young master of the Jin family, had been kicked by Old Master Jin into some poverty-stricken backwater to “experience life.” Those in the know were all gloating, wondering which family would have to take in this lordly burden.
Unfortunately, the run-down little courtyard belonging to Su Baozhu was the one chosen.
On the first day, the young master stepped in wearing limited-edition sneakers. He complained that the courtyard was dirty, the food was rough, and the girl squatting at the gate munching on a cucumber was dressed in a hopelessly tacky way.
He brushed nonexistent dust off his clothes and declared, “I hate unnecessary expenses and noisy creatures more than anything, especially someone like you: so vulgar-lookingly pretty that you seem like you'd cost a fortune.”
Su Baozhu finished the last bite of cucumber, blinked, and held out her hand. “Lodging is three hundred a day. Meals cost extra. Pay first, then service. Think I'm tacky? Turn right at the village entrance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.”
Jin Yan: “...” Is this village belle so broke she's lost her mind?
Later, Jin Yan watched Su Baozhu circle around someone else, smiling like a sunflower, and for the first time felt a tightness in his chest. It felt worse than losing an investment.
He angrily tossed her five hundred yuan. “I've transferred the money. Don't wear that dress for anyone else to see!”
Later still, Su Baozhu turned down his confession, saying she didn't like stingy men.
By the fields under the moonlight, he awkwardly tugged on the hem of her clothes. “Baozhu... The annual maintenance costs for my mansion and estate could buy this entire village.”
“Don't get together with anyone else. My money... and me, too, can be yours to manage. How about it?”
