A cold, sharp-tongued, tsundere heartthrob x a free-spirited young swordsman
Strategist x strategist, political intrigue + the martial world
Shen Liu often wondered how someone so different from He Jianbai could ever have ended up by his side.
He traveled from state to state, seeking peace throughout the land. Then he gave his money pouch a shake and discovered he couldn't even afford a meal...
He Jianbai, meanwhile, caused chaos for everyone just to earn a thousand gold.
Shen Liu thought He Jianbai was cold, devious, and greedy.
He Jianbai thought Shen Liu was naive, contradictory, and hungry for a good reputation.
Yet somehow, they always had to travel together.
One thought he could melt the black-hearted strategist and then roam the world righting wrongs together. The other thought he could teach the young swordsman that the world wasn't simply black and white. When he looked into the long night, he thought of that person; when he saw that person, he thought of the long night.
Reality dealt Shen Liu a face-slapping blow, and he paid a terrible price for it.
Was that fortunate or unfortunate? At least he didn't lose his life, and his doctor of a friend even gave him a little plastic surgery.
From then on, Shen Liu listed He Jianbai as a highly skilled con artist best avoided. If they weren't headed in the same direction, why travel together?
When Shen Liu returned to the martial world, he found that his old friend, once so generous with money, could no longer afford a meal or a first-class room.
Shen Liu asked how he'd fallen on such hard times. He Jianbai replied, "I've realized that if I want to be your companion, I seem to have to learn how to be poor."
When trouble flared up again, Shen Liu suspected He Jianbai first.
He Jianbai: "...What is that look for? Everyone under heaven knows I've been reformed for years."
He Jianbai, who'd spent his life serving others like a dog and now wanted nothing but to retire, felt that fortune had dealt him a terrible hand.
The beloved's senior brother kept sending letters, and every one said:
"I'm out of money. Send more at once."
So He Jianbai's savings for a bride and burial expenses were wiped out.
Having set everything aside, He Jianbai did his best to follow Shen Liu's example out here in the wilderness. He couldn't simply erase their past love and hatred, but he swore with utter conviction that he would be Shen Liu's companion.
I became a joke, and so did you. Two idle souls upon the jianghu road.
One-on-one, happy ending.
War, the martial world, political intrigue, and a bittersweet romance.
The story has an old-fashioned concept of nations, similar to the pre-Qin era. This is not a centralized empire.
Shen Liu's dream is probably to become a peace ambassador (not really).
He Jianbai was actually just a fun-loving guy hoping to earn a little fame and fortune (exactly right).
Next book on the upcoming list: A White Flower Moment Beneath the Stars and Stripes
Lorenzo was never one to keep a low profile. During the first week after Lin Mian asked a lawyer friend to deliver the divorce papers to Lorenzo, everyone in the Bay knew: the two of them, both outrageously possessive, were getting divorced.
Everyone was baffled. They were widely considered the perfect couple. And they still seemed to care so much about each other.
At an open-air dinner party, with the whole room watching, Lin Mian pulled out a pair of binoculars and stared impassively at Lorenzo in the distance.
"Lin, what are you looking at?" his good colleague couldn't help asking.
"I'm seeing what kind of loser would date him."
They had been young once, too.
That summer when he was nineteen, the coast went up in flames. He curled up in a dinghy rising and falling with the waves, shaking as he vomited.
Lorenzo sat opposite him, quietly wiping the blood from his gun.
All right, in that scene, Lorenzo had a mesmerizing, dependable air about him.
They had weathered their hardest times together, opening their hearts and trading secrets amid lies and betrayal. So many years had passed. They shared everything, and yet Lin Mian said he wanted to leave.
He told Lorenzo, "Maybe I'm not worthy of a shallow kind of happiness."
He hadn't expected that leaving would be easier than looking at this man and still wanting to kiss him.
One hundred little things to do before getting divorced.
First: Stop flirting with your husband.
White flowers are beautiful and pure, but their indolic scent can be so strong it makes you dizzy. Why would a man wear white floral perfume? Well, it suits Lorenzo, and it suits this marriage, too.

Twenty-one-year-old Lorenzo stood beneath an orange blossom tree, dappled sunlight falling across his white linen shirt.

9:45 p.m. "Tuberose Hour"
The divorce papers have been served, yet we've gone out to sea together again. The little island, the night voyage, a return to old haunts, the desire we can't confess and the secrets we keep.
"Are you tired? Do we still have to love each other?"
Theme: Only those who walk the same road can stay together for life
I made a cover today and saved money hahh
I found a long comment online, but I don't know why it was deleted. I couldn't let it go after reading it for a long time. Thank you for seeing, thank you for remembering, I simply cannot thank you more. It's a pity that I can't reply. If you can see it, it's because I don't have the tenacity to persist in my work. It's definitely not the reader's fault orz! However, I have been writing miscellaneous essays for the past two years without giving up my creation. Now I have some free time. I was still hesitant whether to finish the book from beginning to end, but your comments are really meaningful to me, and I will insist on at least finishing this book!
It's well written, not like a newbie, I look forward to it (*^o^*)
The title of Gu Gu's book is great.
In any era and in any place, what you get from war and the death of millions of lives is only PTSD, pain and defeat.
I found a good article and the author is very talented. I saw this in one breath and had to take a break.
First of all, congratulations to the boss for finishing it! After reading it, I had a lot of feelings. At first, I just liked this subject. I can't remember what it was like when I read it for the first time. I just thought it was amazing. Then I read it intermittently. I haven't read the novel for a long time. When I came back this year, I actually updated it to the end. Kudos to you! If it were me, I definitely wouldn't be able to finish it from beginning to end. I originally planned to continue watching it before, but I found that I couldn't understand it so I watched it a second time. It was amazing and very lucky. Good! This book is now tied with several other books as top one in my mind. I wish the boss all the best [make me healthy]
"Who has no choice," is a big bug for the author~ real
Boss, you are finally back, I miss you so much 😭 😭 😭
When will the goddess be updated? I've been crying
