Lin Zhiyu transmigrated into a cultivation game that had recently become hugely popular. The game's Heavenly Dao was full of malice toward her. Watching as she was bullied and framed, and repeatedly came close to death, this extraordinarily unlucky player memorized the walkthrough and chose to go dark without hesitation, striking first and reaching the world-ending ending.
The Heavenly Dao, whose true form was a romance System and who had been taught to heel, restarted the game for its second run in tears. This time, it would use "love" to reform the not-yet-maxed-out Demon Lord of the Apocalypse.
The four chosen ones received a divine revelation.
Heavenly Dao: Number One, Lin Zhiyu will become the Demon Lord of the Apocalypse.
Light of the Righteous Path: Got it. I'll kill her with one strike!
Heavenly Dao: No, no, no! You must warm her heart, redeem her, guide her, and tempt her! She will look up to you, fall for you, yearn for you, and become obsessed with you. Then you must neglect her, ignore her, put her down, and destroy her. In the end, she will submit to you, tamed by your love.
Light of the Righteous Path: ?
Heavenly Dao: Number Two, Lin Zhiyu will become the Demon Lord of the Apocalypse.
Master Healer: Got it. She has a terrible illness. I'll cure her!
Heavenly Dao: No, no, no! Though she carries a mountain of white bones in her hands and treads over mountains of corpses and seas of blood, though she wantonly slaughters innocents, commits countless evils, and is abandoned by everyone, you must stay by her side unconditionally, tolerate her unconditionally, support her unconditionally, and follow her unconditionally. In the end, she will be moved by you and healed by your love.
Master Healer: ??
Heavenly Dao: Number Three, Lin Zhiyu will become the Demon Lord of the Apocalypse.
Young Lord of Tianqing: Got it. I'll have her wrapped around my little finger.
Heavenly Dao: No, no, no! You must scheme against her, but ultimately lose to her. You must keep her in check, but ultimately submit to her. You must be her equal, but ultimately suffer total defeat. Crawl at her feet, and in the end, she will reward you with her love.
Lord of Tianqing: .
Heavenly Dao: Number Four, Lin Zhiyu will become the Demon Lord of the Apocalypse.
Demon Lord: Got it. I'll join her side right now!
Heavenly Dao: No, no, no! It's your relentless chatter that will break down her defenses, and your sunny innocence that will keep you alive. You're her sweet little husband, and she's your domineering wife. Faced with her power and fierce independence, you can complain, fight back, or run away, though none of it will work. But your little tricks will be the perfect spice in your relationship. Remember, flattery always works. According to my analysis, you two are highly compatible. Perhaps you're just her type! But don't forget, once she falls in love with you, put a chain on her...
Demon Lord: !
Light of the Righteous Path: What's gotten into the Heavenly Dao?
Master Healer: Is the Heavenly Dao sick or something?
Lord of Tianqing: The Heavenly Dao is sick.
Demon Lord: Of course the Heavenly Dao is sick!
After Lin Zhiyu brought about the apocalypse, she was forced to restart the game for a second run. Having failed to get home, she decided to try another way: she would capture the Heavenly Dao! To make sure her plan went smoothly, she first had to be a good person.
Wait, why weren't those four chosen ones, whom she'd courted with in-game purchases and defeated before, following the script anymore?!
Theme: Always strive to improve.
