After I Used and Abandoned the Prince of the Stars

The second-in-command of the notorious Eagle-Slaying Interstellar Pirate Crew, Chen Shouxing, was an S-rank wanted criminal who struck fear into everyone's heart. He was an out-and-out lunatic.

He once blew up an entire planet, then sailed away while the Imperial Army retaliated with a barrage of attacks.

He once killed an entire battalion of his own men because one member of a gang had breathed too loudly.

Then one day, he was captured.

Everyone took pleasure in his misfortune. Chen Shouxing and the Imperial Government had a blood feud. Surely the government would tear him limb from limb.

Covered in wounds and wearing a blindfold, Chen Shouxing was hauled up by the chain around his neck.

A voice murmured softly in his ear:

"Chen Shouxing, how much farther are you going to run?"

The voice belonged to one man: Warren Morrell, the esteemed prince of the Morrell royal family.

Now a level-headed, self-possessed, impartial, and much-loved heir apparent, he was first in line to the throne.

He was also the ex-boyfriend Chen Shouxing had seduced and then abandoned.

Chen Shouxing had been a lunatic since childhood.

He hated everyone back then, and thought the world was utterly filthy.

But then little Warren, with his blond hair and blue eyes, held out a hand to him.

From that moment on, he became Chen Shouxing's most precious treasure, the one pure thing in his life.

During a mission to infiltrate a military academy, Chen Shouxing met Warren, a senior who helped manage the new students.

At first, he drew close to Warren out of admiration alone.

In the end, though, he couldn't restrain his greed for this precious treasure.

Chen Shouxing watched Warren carefully prepare a study schedule for him, with his neatly trimmed nails and tidy handwriting.

Sitting in the office of the head of the academy's Discipline Department, he casually rested one hand on a thick stack of documents.

Then he tilted his head and kissed Warren's tightly pursed lips.

The first line on that stack of documents read:

Students have been disappearing frequently on campus. The culprit's methods are exceptionally cruel, and the victims' deaths are gruesome.

Another ten years passed. At last, the mastermind behind it all was apprehended.

He showed no sign of panic. If anything, he was thrilled.

Chen Shouxing savored the sound of Warren's voice. Bound by heavy restraints, he still wanted to get closer to him.

The cold-blooded, murderous lunatic spoke with boundless longing:

"Long time no see, my dear little prince. Do you hate me to death?"

Warren didn't answer. His eyes were bloodshot, just as Chen Shouxing had said they would be.

But where Chen Shouxing couldn't see,

the hand gripping his cheek had bulging veins,

yet its fingers gently wiped the blood seeping from his tiny wounds.
