Heartless, unfaithful woman vs. devoted, loyal puppy
1.
Lin Jianan first met Ying Yu in the grade director's office. He was a transfer student with excellent grades and impeccable conduct. The teachers had high hopes for him, and the students kept their distance. He was like a sacred god enthroned on an altar, beyond reproach, while she was the school's problem girl, with a long record of misdeeds, being chewed out by the grade director.
It was the same old lecture as always. When Lin Jianan was in a good mood, she'd usually nod along and offer a few noncommittal replies. But that day, she was unlike herself. She didn't hear a single word. Instead, she stared at the boy's face for a long, long time. She never denied being shallow. Only after he closed the door behind him and left did she realize he hadn't once looked her way.

The summer after the college entrance exams ended in Hong Kong was more vibrant than any summer before it. Lin Jianan got her wish and started dating Ying Yu. During that long, muggy summer, they did everything couples were supposed to do. As the sweltering vacation neared its end, Lin Jianan broke up with him. Ying Yu was on a plane heading north at the time. In their relationship, Lin Jianan had been the one in control, and the only one who passed judgment.
At eleven that night, Lin Jianan received a message from Ying Yu. It was just like him: a brief two-character question. [Reason?]
She thought of plenty of reasons to break up that night. To make Ying Yu give up on her for good, she finally sent the cruelest thing she could think of: [I got bored of you.]
Then she decided that still wasn't cruel enough and twisted the knife: [Actually, I do like you, but we're really not right for each other. Let's end things here and part on good terms. I hope you find true love soon.]
It was a textbook heartless-woman line. After sending it, Lin Jianan felt disgusted with herself. Deep down, she regretted it a little, but words were like water spilled from a cup: they could never be taken back. Ying Yu probably never wanted to see her again for the rest of his life.
After that night, Ying Yu never messaged her again. He blocked her.

The day they crossed paths again, Lin Jianan walked through the pouring rain with a thick stack of resumes in her arms. She'd never felt so awkward and wretched, especially not in front of her ex-boyfriend.
Before long, a Rolls-Royce Phantom came speeding over and stopped beside her. The driver's window slowly rolled down. A young woman in heavy makeup sat in the passenger seat, while the man behind the wheel looked at Lin Jianan with nothing but disdain and contempt.
Then he said, "Miss Lin, I never thought you'd end up in such a state one day."
The man had a cool expression. He closed the window elegantly and drove off, splashing water all over the lower half of her clothes.
Later, Ying Yu became her direct superior. Not only that, he was also her landlord. She couldn't afford the rent and was already more than six months behind. Lin Jianan really felt then that the world was far too small. As far as she was concerned, nothing could be more humiliating than having an ex-boyfriend become both her boss and her creditor.
A little bonus scene:
One day after they got back together, Lin Jianan teased Ying Yu as usual. "Don't I remember someone once saying that even if a rabbit starved to death, it wouldn't eat the grass by its burrow?"
Ying Yu: "..."
My wife holds a grudge. I'd better sew my mouth shut from now on.
"Rose will bloom all the time, My love is always warm."
Both leads are each other's first and only. HE

Moral: Meet true feelings with true feelings.
The writing style is still a bit immature, and the characters are not well established. Keep up the good work! [Rose]
[Cat's Claw] The supporting character's name has unusual characters
The male protagonist shouldn't be silent in the back, I feel like I didn't hit the CP [glasses] properly.
