[A wood sorrel who dreams of spreading pollen and growing the prettiest little red flowers in the world, the bottom x a flirtatious, reclusive botany professor who coaxes and tricks him, hoping to pollinate him every day, the top]
Holy crap!
Cha Xiaohe is a wood sorrel. Just like his name suggests, he's a little plant, and one that can bloom, too.
As an ambitious little plant, Cha Xiaohe's greatest wish is to grow the brightest red flower. But just as he struggled to sprout four little leaves, a bratty kid yanked him out, roots and all.
Cha Xiaohe: Damn it.
Bratty kid: Uncle! I think this plant just swore!

He Xunli, A University's youngest botany professor, is stern and serious, never smiling. His classes are always packed.
His nephew gave Professor He a four-leaf clover, which he casually left in the yard. A few days later, he remembered to water it and moved the hardy little thing into a flowerpot.
But when he returned from a business trip, the plant had disappeared, and there was a boy in his house.
The missing four-leaf clover was perched on his head.
Professor He asked in a low voice who he was.
The boy blinked innocently, seeming to understand but not quite: "A plant."
Holy crap!
Cha Xiaohe discovers that life at Professor He's home is much more comfortable than life in the wild. There is food and water, someone to care for him, and a sunroom and a big yard for sunbathing.
So the wild wood sorrel decides to become a potted houseplant. With expert guidance, blooming and bearing fruit should be just around the corner!
But Professor He is a little strange. He ignores all the precious flowers in the yard and keeps his eyes on the most common wood sorrel of them all.
He eats with him and holds him while they sleep, but won't teach him how to pollinate, and won't let him cross-pollinate with other little red flowers.
The good little plant can't hold back and raises his hand to ask: "Teacher! Spring is here. Can I grow a little red flower of my own?"
The only response is a kiss from Professor He, one with a hint of punishment.
The little wood sorrel trembles and covers the flower on his head. "Wah, is this part of the lesson, too?"
[Bonus Scene]
Professor He has been rather moody lately. Every time he passes the sunflowers recently planted by the researcher, he gives a cold snort.
The students have more materials to hand in, but none of them dares say a word. They all turn pleading eyes toward the researcher watering the sunflowers.
Newly appointed researcher Xiao Cha: "?"
Half an hour later, the well-behaved researcher emerges from Professor He's office with his head lowered. His ears peeking through his hair are bright red, and his eyes are watery. He looks every bit like someone who's been thoroughly bullied.
Researcher Xiao Cha meets their sympathetic gazes, freezes for a moment, then bites his lip, tries to stay calm, covers his face, and runs off.
Everyone is baffled: "Damn, did he really yell at him that badly?!"
