The Little Mermaid Becomes the Darling of a Variety Show

Song Youyu is a little merfolk with a damaged tail. He's timid and weak, nothing like the strong and violent merfolk around him. They all look down on him, even his family.

Later, he dies unexpectedly and transmigrates to a parallel world, where he becomes a three-year-old toddler.

There are no merfolk in this world.

When Song Youyu sees his mother again, he quickly bares a row of adorable baby teeth. "Rawr!"

Mommy, look! I'm super fierce!

Song Youyu tries his best to look fierce, hoping his family will love him, only to discover that they all dote on him.

His mother gently sings him lullabies to help him fall asleep.

His father no longer criticizes his personality, and tells him that people are all different.

His older brother and sister stop picking on him and stand up for him when they're out.

Song's mother also takes him on a variety show.

As soon as the show airs, Song Youyu, with his rosy lips, pearly teeth, and sweet, obedient manner, wins everyone's hearts.

The production team takes the children to see the animals. When they reach the tiger enclosure, Song Youyu approaches, full of curiosity.

Jian Xinglan, the only son of a powerful family, had been standing far away. Seeing this, he comes over to shield him, his little face cool and serious. "Tigers are fierce."

Song Youyu hurriedly cries, "Rawr, rawr! Fishy is fierce too!"

Jian Xinglan falls silent.

The netizens go wild

"Baby, you're not fierce, you're adorable!"

"The person above is talking nonsense. Youyou is so fierce. Auntie's scared and needs Youyou to kiss it better!"

At the amusement park, Song Youyu accidentally injures his foot. His pink eyelids droop, and he looks terribly upset. "My tail is broken. No one likes Fishy anymore."

Jian Xinglan crouches down to put medicine on his foot. "No. I'll always like Fishy."
