[My new book next door, A Beat Behind, is now out. It's really good, so please add it to your favorites if you like it!]
A retired shooting athlete whose ambitions went unfulfilled x a spirited, brilliant student at the top of the architecture field
The night she decided to quit the profession, she sat in the shooting range until dawn.
With her legs bent, she curled up in a corner and stared blankly at the target across from her. It had once been her most unwavering goal.
Her steady, powerful right hand had once been her pride. Now it drooped over her knee like a broken willow branch, utterly lifeless.
The road of life grew narrower and narrower. She feared praise, feared criticism, feared mediocrity, until all that remained was settling for less and making do.
It was because she was making do that she moved into the home of a brilliant young man in architecture whose name she had only heard a few times. They said that when he graduated, the three A0 drawings he had drafted by hand were kept by his alma mater with the highest score in its history.
Back then, the thing she feared most was that kind of vivid, vibrant life.
"You and my brother went to university together?" she asked, stating the obvious.
"Yeah." He had to answer.
"But we weren't very close. I probably know less about him than you do."
"I know." His tone was calm.
"..."
"This is my club project," she explained.
"I know."
"..."
"I live..." She was going home and wanted to tell him her address.
"I know." He cut in before she could finish.
"..."
"I learned shooting from him."
"Did he ever want to become a professional athlete?"
"Of course not. He wanted to love an athlete like that."
It turned out he knew everything about the present and past that had been spoken aloud or kept in their hearts.
No matter whether life is good or bad, never forget to experience it as it is.
The next book is now available: Let Me Watch It With You Again. Please add it to your favorites if you like it. Here's the blurb:
The summer her mother died, Jiang Zhiye transferred to Shencheng No. 1 High School.
There, she saw Ye Xu for the second time. She recognized him: he was her grandmother's grandson.
Some people don't need to stand in the very center to draw every eye. Ye Xu of the Ye family was one of them. So was Ye Xu of No. 1 High School. But the Ye Xu standing before her was not allowed to be.
Under the dim streetlights, the boy blocked her way. "Jiang Zhiye, can I have a hug?"
"Okay," she said. "But put your hands in your pockets."
The boy did as she said, putting one hand in his pocket as he watched her, completely at ease.
"Put the other hand in too."
"Like this?" He smiled, enjoying the evening breeze and the sunset in her eyes.
"But then, how can I..."
"I'll hug you." She interrupted him, held her body stiff, and rested her head at an angle on his shoulder. She saw his Adam's apple bob, just like her heartbeat.
His arm began to bend slightly, and she immediately wrapped hers around him. "Don't reach out."
He looked down at her, the corner of his mouth lifting. "You like cool guys?"
Only after her breathing steadied did she answer, "Yeah, so you have to be a little cooler from now on."
Tips:
* A sweet and angsty story set half in school and half in the city. HE.
* The male lead is direct about his feelings and openly pursues the female lead throughout.
* There are no ridiculous misunderstandings. The female lead has her own sense of order in life, and every step she takes is a clear-headed choice.
From school to the city.
Theme: The truth is the truth.
Theme: No one is perfect. Everyone has their own journey.
I admit with difficulty that after reading this high-quality article, I could not find another article that could soothe my soul for a long time. Although I had a withdrawal reaction, I still feel honored and lucky, because it has been a long time since I have been so immersed in appreciating an article that combines growth and love stories. I really cherish and like Da Da's writing style. The articles always give readers a serious, appropriate, elegant and unique feeling. There is no show of writing power, few industrial routines, and few simple plots. I really feel that this article exudes a high-end and precious atmosphere, and also has a sense of freedom and happiness. This is a rare advantage of most recommended articles nowadays. I can't praise it enough and I believe that readers are also connected. Finally, I wish that your writing inspiration will continue to flow, your articles will become better and better, and you will bring us great works! Great support!
After reading this, I really like the writing style. It is based on reality and has plots that can only be presented in novels. Just a small suggestion is that although I know that the emotional pull may not have a sufficiently clear logic, after reading it, I feel that the process of Zhouzhou's determination to give up after the confession to the expression of dependence and love seems to be too vague. Except for the scene in the family shooting gallery, Lu Zeqian does not seem to have any plot that really makes me feel that it touches the little girl who has worked hard to suppress love for more than four years. Of course, it is just a personal idea. Best wishes!
If you like it, please collect it. If there is any change in the ten digits of the collection, the author can add an update. Thanks?(?ω?)?
The full text is finished! Can friends who like it give me a rating? Thank you all!
Come on, come on, even though it is a romance novel, it is quite logical and not awkward.
I wish you all a Happy New Year in advance and will update more later! It is a pure and sweet rivalry between male and female protagonists that everyone loves!
Is there any reader who can add another collection to the author's collection? If I can get enough three digits to add an update, thanks? (?ω?)?
Thanks for the limited fee! Thank you writer! [Rose][Rose]
The writing is good, I'm so happy after reading both books.
I don't understand some of the timelines. Is the training ground where the heroine and Lin Yan went to in Chapter 1 the current timeline? Did the heroine meet the hero who returned from studying abroad at that time? Then the timeline goes back to when the heroine and the hero first met (during their studies abroad)? Does the "one week later" written at the beginning of Chapter 22 refer to the week after meeting the male protagonist at the training ground? Then the subsequent timeline is written now, right?
