Blurb:
This is a standalone universe, a world where Superman is the only superhero on Earth.
Alone, he faced one alien invasion after another: Zod, Doomsday, Steppenwolf, Darkseid, and Black Nia.
He died twice. The first time, human scientists brought him back to life. The second time, after he died, humans handed his body over to Black Nia, who turned him into a puppet.
His adoptive mother Martha gave her life to awaken him. Superman rose again and saved Earth, but he permanently lost the only selfless, kind human being in the world who loved him.
Humans hurt him countless times and betrayed him again and again. He was exhausted. When the apocalypse arrived, humans pushed him forward once more, and once again, he stepped up.
This time, he said, "Don't bring me back again."
He stopped the fissure in the universe from splitting wider, but vanished from this universe forever. The red cape was gone, and the god among men had left the world of men.
Then he opened his eyes and looked down at his small hands, those of a seven-year-old child.
He had come back to life in another world, a world with unfamiliar cities and unfamiliar superheroes. Only...
There would never be a Superman again.
