If Love Had a Sound

Her family kept pressuring her to get married, so Li Zhi had no choice but to move out and find some peace and quiet.

Once she left home, she discovered that the world wasn't as simple as she'd thought: she'd been scammed by a rental agent.

The agent had her share an apartment with a strange man.

After a few twists and turns, Li Zhi signed the lease and ended up living under the same roof as a stranger.

They each went about their own business and didn't bother one another.

She thought things would carry on like that, until a month later, when she tried the food Jiang Yingsui had cooked. It was simply divine.

After that, Li Zhi started dropping by for meals, venting about her experiences as she ate.

Jiang Yingsui would simply smile and occasionally chime in.

The more Li Zhi saw his gentlemanly, gentle side, the more he reminded her of the person she'd secretly loved as a teenager.

She'd thought she'd never fall for anyone else in this lifetime.

How should she choose between the love she felt as a girl and the person who's right for her as an adult?

Jiang Yingsui, the youngest child of the Jiang family, was plagued by illness and had been secretly in love with Li Zhi for over ten years.

He'd thought their love would never see the light of day. He never expected to end up living with Li Zhi.

He tried every trick he could think of to win her over, doing everything in his power to get a little closer.

Li Zhi backed away a hundred steps.

At last, he understood.

Li Zhi hated him.

Heartbroken, Jiang Yingsui went abroad.

As the last flight of the night was about to take off, he walked away with his suitcase.

Behind him, Li Zhi called out in a plaintive voice, "Didn't you say you were going to pursue me? How can you do that if you've gone abroad?"

"You don't like me. If I keep pursuing you, you'll only hate me more."

"Who said that? I like you. I like Jiang Yingsui!"
