1.

Everyone at Lingyi No. 8 High School knew that Duan Jinyu was unruly and carefree, and someone you really didn’t want to mess with.

The unremarkable Mu Tingli had heard of him, but the two of them had nothing to do with each other.

One accident brought them together.

Duan Jinyu called out to her with a roguish grin: "Senior."

Mu Tingli wanted nothing to do with him, so she pretended not to hear.

Duan Jinyu didn’t mind at all. He shamelessly followed her around every day, calling her "sis" this and "sis" that.

Before long, Mu Tingli could no longer ignore him.

Her deskmate asked, "Having a 'little brother' follow you around every day, you must be falling for him by now, right?"

Mu Tingli replied, "He’s too young."

Until one day, Duan Jinyu saw her interacting with another guy.

His expression darkened. He gripped her wrist tightly, his voice low. "Mu Tingli, can you look only at me?"

"Can you wait until I’m an adult?"

But she still didn’t wait for him to come of age.

2.

They met again on a scandalous dating reality show.

Duan Jinyu was the heir to the Duan Group and a top-tier star in the music scene, widely considered the most difficult person in the industry to deal with. He was aloof and kept his distance from women.

Mu Tingli, meanwhile, was still an ordinary civilian.

The fans were in an uproar, all saying:

"??? Who is this civilian? My guy won’t even look at her. Love that."

"The show's script is so fake. There’s no way these two will get together."

Later, everyone in the comments was left stunned.

When Mu Tingli chose another male guest without hesitation,

Duan Jinyu’s calm expression lost every trace of pretense, and a faint red crept into the corners of his eyes.

In an unnoticed corner, he pinned her against the wall and lowered his voice, restrained and patient. "Sis, can you choose me this time?"

"No."

Her voice was calm and even.

Just like back then.
