Gu Ai jumped off a building trying to get himself killed, only to wake up and discover he was nothing but a devoted villainous cannon-fodder character who was hopelessly in love with the protagonist in a virtual world. So he started doing whatever he pleased: skipping work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, messing with the protagonist on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and having everyone hunt each other on Sundays.
After he turned the world upside down and was ready to destroy it along with everyone in it, a guy calling himself the System bound himself to Gu Ai and said they would save the cannon-fodder characters whose sincere feelings had been trampled.
Gu Ai didn't understand, but he was greatly shocked, so he kicked the System ten miles away.
The System, later reduced to Gu Ai's virtual pet: If I had even one regret pill, I never would have picked a fight with this lunatic!
Gu Ai: Heh. Go ask around the whole Huaxia district and find out who's the boss!
World One:
The real young master, a cannon-fodder character who had been swapped at birth and kicked around like a ball by everyone, became sharp and dazzling overnight. Like a pearl dusted clean, he gave off a captivating light. No longer clinging to the illusory warmth of his so-called family and fiance, he sat at the end of a red carpet strewn with flowers, waiting for everyone to beg him for mercy.
World Two:
The top-tier star who had been abandoned and buried disappeared for several months, then reappeared before the public. His gaze seemed to overflow with boundless love for everyone. But behind the obsession and frenzy he inspired, all he wanted was to drag everyone to hell with him.
World Three:
The proud Red Rose of the Empire became a laughingstock overnight, sent to an international tribunal by the person he loved most. Yet after being convicted and exiled to a barren planet, he became the star of hope for humanity, someone everyone longed to kiss the hem of. He shone like a rising sun, watching over all his followers, but in truth, all he wanted was to tear the Empire apart.
Gu Ai thought that was simply the kind of awful person he was.
He would never be redeemed, and he would never be bound by anyone.
