A little more detail:
Sybillis White, an heir to an ancient family of Seers with a powerful gift of prophecy, meets Regulus at her birthday party. He is overlooked by the Black family and lives in the shadow of his brother Sirius's brilliance. As the times grow more turbulent, the two come to understand and influence one another.
Additional notes:
1. This story has a very happy ending. When I read HP as a child, I was always heartbroken by the deaths, so I wanted to save more people.
2. One chapter will be posted on the publication date (11/11), followed by updates on the 12th and 13th. After that, updates will be whenever I can manage them, but there generally won't be a gap of two weeks or more. It depends on how busy university life gets.
3. I don't know when I'll be able to finish the cover, but I'll do my best to get it done soon.
4. I will not abandon this story! I write slowly, and it's easy for me to get busy with real life and forget to come back and write. I also have other stories to work on. But the fact that I dug up, revised, rewrote, and published this story, which I first wrote in middle school, shows how much I can't let go of my work and its heroine. Other things to be aware of:
1. This story is very, very, very slow to warm up. Romantic relationships and everything else progress slowly. I first started writing it to make up for the regret I felt over abandoning a story in my childhood. If you visit my profile, you'll see my earlier work, Stardust, which was so terrible that I locked it. But my ideas as an adult are completely different from what they were back then. I don't want to write a story that's just sweet romance and declarations of love. Instead, I hope to convey other ideas through it and recreate the Wizarding World of the 1970s as I see it... 2. There are many original characters, and they have a substantial role in the plot. The characters from the original story's parents' generation don't fit what I want to write, so I brought in characters created by my friends. To help readers keep track of everyone, I'll sometimes make the characters' relationships to the heroine clear, for example, "Her mother, XXX, said..."
3. The other original characters also have romantic pairings, including original character x original character (what am I even doing...). The only pairing between an original character and a canon character is Sirius x an original female character. All the other pairings follow the original story.
