The author's column has a new novel, The Libertine. Its blurb is at the bottom.
Duo Yu went from fishmonger to the Zhou family's legitimate second daughter...
She watched as the person who had taken her place as the Zhou family's legitimate eldest daughter got engaged to Xie Zuo, the most politically promising young nobleman in the capital.
If nothing unexpected happened, she would have to call Xie Zuo "brother-in-law" from then on.
But these days, the unexpected was everywhere.
Xie Zuo listened coldly to the moans, somewhere between pleasure and pain, coming from inside the tent.
After a long while,
Duo Yu emerged from the tent. Her rough, unpleasant voice sounded weak and soft as she leaned close to Xie Zuo. "Are you here to pick something up, Lord Xie? Duo Yu can help you."
A sweet fragrance filled his senses.
What is greed? It is obsession, delusion, knowing full well you shouldn't, yet doing it anyway...
Duo Yu thought she loved Xie Zuo. Sometimes, if you lie to yourself long enough, you start believing it.
A little scene:
Zhou Duoyu knelt devoutly before the Buddha. In front of her lay a pouch full of gold, just offered to the Bodhisattva, so bright it could blind anyone.
She lowered her eyes and murmured to the statue: "Please trouble yourself to help your faithful devotee wipe out every evil spirit. When the task is done, I will rebuild your golden image. Pure gold, of course."
After praying, she calmly and discreetly took back the gold she had just offered, then walked away without looking back.
Who gives money away before the job is done?
Special note: "Evil spirits" in this novel are only a metaphor. There are no fantasy elements.
Blurb for The Libertine:
You Jing has never been a good person, but when it comes to Sui Lang, he can't really be called a bad one either.
Theme: Protect the ones you love
All the flowers I waited for have faded---
When will the article be updated? I look forward to your good news.
Has the female protagonist's charm already overwhelmed the male protagonist?
The plot is good, but the narrative ability is not good. I have seen this with a hammer here and there, and there is not even a main plot. The heroine does not explain what she is going to do. At least she has to give a hint.
Suddenly the bid was completed. I like the way this story is written, although sometimes I find the logic a bit problematic.
A bunch of scum, dying so easily is too cheap for them
How many days have you waited for me? When will you update?
I cried after reading it 3 times. It's so difficult to get a lot of fish. In order to seek justice for my beloved family, I lowered my spine and forced myself to have strong vitality. It is this kind of indomitable vitality that can persuade people with a little conscience to let go of their prejudices, and unknowingly be attracted to her and want to help her. But Duoyu's life is so difficult, crying?

Good looking. I rarely do psychological descriptions, but they are very enjoyable
