He even goes to prison, harasses the female lead repeatedly, and eventually gets thrown into a psychiatric hospital by the domineering CEO, where he starves to death.
Gu Mingyu has no fondness for delinquents like that, and has no intention of getting involved.
Until the boy crashes his motorcycle into a railing and ends up in the hospital.
Out of basic decency, Gu Mingyu goes to take a look. The boy, like a little monkey, lies in bed with a head wound, cursing up a storm. He has only fifty yuan to his name, and nobody is there to care for him or even ask after him.
And so begins his ill-fated bond with the little monkey.
Over the next six years, under Gu Mingyu's careful (strict) supervision (and discipline), the little monkey transforms from a rowdy delinquent into a respectable-looking flower shop owner.
Gu Mingyu is leaning on the balcony, enjoying the sunshine with his thermos in hand. As he contentedly sips the tea his dear son has brought him, he turns his head...
And sees his dear son standing before him in a suit and tie, wearing a slightly ridiculous bow tie and holding a huge bouquet of red roses. Blushing, he stammers, "I like you."
