The Unlucky One's Change of Fortune Plan

[All Destinations] My new novel is complete. Please add it to your collection!

1.

After Hao Yunlai's blind date went badly,

he ran into his high school classmate Dugu Lang, an unlucky guy, at the airport.

Whenever Dugu Lang showed up, something bad was sure to happen...

And sure enough, their flight was canceled.

With no other options, they had to rent a car and hit the road.

Luckily, Hao Yunlai, with his lucky-charm constitution, managed to snag the last car.

Under Dugu Lang's eager gaze, the two shared a car and scored themselves two days and one night together.

The result? Hao Yunlai trended online under the headline: "Famous Musician and Mystery Man Have 24-Hour Hotel Tryst!"

2.

After the rumor spread, Hao Yunlai's family started pressuring him even more.

With no choice, Hao Yunlai could only ask the "mystery man," Dugu Lang, for help.

"Anyway, people should stay away from you because of your unlucky constitution, and my lucky-charm constitution balances it out. How about we make do and get together?"

Dugu Lang pretended to agree reluctantly, while his huge wolf tail wagged wildly inside.

3.

After they got married, Hao Yunlai was shocked to discover that Dugu Lang was nothing but a big bad wolf.

Hao Yunlai: "That day at the airport, did you know the flight would be canceled?"

Dugu Lang replied expressionlessly, "How could I? I don't own the airline..."

Hao Yunlai looked unconvinced.

The next second, Dugu Lang leaned down to his ear, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "But I do own the car rental company, so that's why you got the last car."

Hao Yunlai: "...You devious, unlucky creep!"

As it turned out, from beginning to end, it had all been part of Dugu Lang's long-planned scheme to change his luck...

Life is full of disappointments, eight or nine out of ten.

Hao Yunlai was one of the one or two things that went Dugu Lang's way.

Content warnings:

1. Same-sex marriage is legal.

2. Both leads are virgins, one-on-one relationship.

3. The love interest is quite calculating. (After all, an unlucky person has to plan for everything.)

4. I'm not a professional songwriter, so the lyrics aren't great. Just read them for fun.

5. I don't accept writing advice. You don't have to tell me if you drop the story.
