Zhao Kuiyi, the undisputed champion of trash talk, had always excelled at everything. But after starting high school, someone always outperformed him, and he became the “perennial runner-up” among his classmates.
Zhao Kuiyi refused to accept it.
“Who remembers the second-place winner? If I'm going to do it, I'll be number one!”
So Zhao Kuiyi worked hard to catch up, and succeeded in getting close to the legendary study maniac, Qi Qin.
Qi Qin was great, Qi Qin was wonderful, and Zhao Kuiyi fell head over heels for her.
At graduation, Zhao Kuiyi smiled faintly. “Sorry, everyone. First place is mine now!”
Zhao Kuiyi remembered the warmth of Qi Qin's fingertips brushing his cheek, and her eyes, filled with stories.
