I Heard My Family Inherited an "Elixir of Immortality"

Gancao is nineteen this year. For more than a decade, she thought her family was perfectly ordinary. At most, her dad later became a self-made millionaire, making her a rich second-generation kid. The family only had a little bit of money.

Then, at nineteen, just after starting her junior year of college, her dad shoved her onto a medicine-finding expedition for the Yu family, a family of renowned physicians. They were heading to the snowy mountains in search of some "miracle medicine."

Only later did she learn that the Yu family was searching for an elixir of immortality.

She thought the Yu family had gone crazy, and that her dad had gone crazy too.

Later still, she discovered that her own family really did have an "elixir of immortality" to inherit!

What was she supposed to do?

Should she inherit her family's "elixir of immortality"?

If she didn't, someone was about to take the family medicine away.

But if she did... She was still just a "kid" who wanted to live a peaceful, carefree life. She couldn't handle such a heavy "responsibility."

As she agonized over it, people nudged her toward those "elixirs of immortality."

Fine, then. She had no choice but to inherit them.

She'd just look after them for now.

Hehe.

1. Set in the 1990s, though the period atmosphere isn't especially strong. The focus is on exploration, treasure hunting, and solving mysteries. The pacing isn't especially fast; don't scrutinize the details too closely.

Theme: Whether the road is straight or winding, just keep moving forward
