Out of curiosity, you tried the romance RPG your classmate had enthusiastically recommended.
In the game, you were the manager of an apartment building, and every tenant was a romanceable character.
They were all gorgeous, with lovely voices, and you absolutely adored the place.
After diving into the game and playing for a while, you realized that some of the tenants seemed a little off:
The blond man who bought the entire first floor, basement included, was tall and muscular with a devilishly handsome face. He was a night owl and somehow used no electricity all year round.
The long-haired beauty on the second floor was often away on business. Whenever they came back, they wore bizarre outfits covered in spikes. Their sense of style seemed questionable.
The blond office worker on the third floor had a routine as punctual as a clock, but you often saw him talking to himself in a creepy way.
The white-haired man on the fourth floor had rainbow-colored eyes, which would have been strange enough, except there were words in them too. He also seemed to be running some sort of cult and was called the "Leader."
You thought the characters' settings were a little strange, but didn't dwell on it.
As the apartment manager, you had daily management tasks to do in addition to romancing the characters.
You went into the first-floor tenant's room to check the electricity meter, and then the System informed you that you were dead.
...What the heck?! Do people die in romance RPGs now?
Not knowing what instant-death condition you'd triggered, you decided to skip the first floor and the empty second floor, and help the office worker on the third floor check a leaking pipe instead.
While checking it, you heard a dripping sound coming from the bathroom too, so you reached for the doorknob to open it and take a look...
Then the System informed you that you were dead again.
...This game is unplayable!
After dying twice in a row, you angrily deleted the game and decided to go to bed.
But after falling asleep, you found yourself returning to that apartment building again and again. It seemed you couldn't leave without romancing a character and reaching an ending. What should you do?
[Content Warnings]
1. The main story is written in third person. This blurb is not the final version and may still change, but the premise will stay the same.
2. The romantic pairing hasn't been decided yet, but it definitely won't be Dio, Yoshikage Kira, or Doma. There are plenty of other choices! Of course, our heroine will still end up with someone who's at least somewhat decent.
Theme: Never give up hope.
