My Nemesis Is Sweet on the Outside, Dark on the Inside

[Two Airline Captains] [Rivals] [Rekindled Love] [Your Nemesis Is Your Wife]

Pairing: high-attack, low-defense "flirtatious butterfly" x steady, no-nonsense "old-school gentleman" (switch)

He Ting and Yu Song'en became deskmates when they started school, then ended up in the same class again when they were recruited for pilot training in their sophomore year. For four years, they fought tooth and nail, competing over their scores in theory exams, their rankings in fitness tests, and even scheduling their first solo flights at the aviation academy for the very same day.

Even after graduation, they had the same flight instructor.

But Yu Song'en never imagined they would both become single on the same day, much less that she would invite He Ting: "Come to my place and sleep with me."

She meant it as a joke, but it came true.

Yu Song'en: We're both adults. It was consensual, right?

He Ting: I don't want a long-distance relationship either.

If you weren't interested, you weren't interested. Why bring up long distance?

Yu Song'en pretended nothing was wrong, but was secretly rolling her eyes like crazy. Two days later, however, she received news that He Ting was going to Qitai Airlines for an exchange program.

Three years passed in a blur.

Yu Song'en was stationed in Melbourne when, just before a return-flight briefing, she received a call from dispatch: her copilot was her old classmate, He Ting.
