Dark Dazai Picks Up a Mary Sue Slime

[Main story complete. Bonus chapters are coming along at a snail's pace.]

[Check out the blurb for my next upcoming novel, "I'm Selling Fruit Bowls in Yokohama", below, or visit my author page.]

[The main story is told in third person. Here is the blurb:]

Dazai finds a strange creature. Hmm... Apparently, it's a Slime.

Unlike the weak Slimes with their limited attributes in video games, the one he finds can change into all seven colors.

The Slime really likes him.

In summer, it turns blue, puts on a crown of frost, and bounces toward him.

...And freezes him into a popsicle.

In winter, the Slime turns red and puts on a little show, spontaneously combusting on the spot.

It burns itself to light his way.

On sunny days, the Slime grows tiny wings and takes him on trips.

Even when the power goes out unexpectedly, his Slime turns purple and generates electricity right there.

In short, it's seriously creepy!

I was playing a game when I transmigrated. And not as a human, but as a Slime.

Fortunately, I'm a transmigrator with every buff maxed out. To put it simply, I'm a Mary Sue Slime.

The person who found me was a pretty boy, and I really like him.

He's fragile. He's afraid of the cold, the heat, pain, and even being lonely.

I take careful care of him.

In summer, I chill him. In winter, I warm him by the fire. On sunny days, I take him for a ride, and when it rains, I use myself as an umbrella for him.

Even so, my boy never changes.

He's even more fragile than before.

One day, an enemy organization discovered me, an outsider. They secretly kidnapped me and planned to dissect me.

I was terrified. I was afraid that without me looking after him, my boy might accidentally die.

And then...

I saw the pretty boy, who I'd always thought was utterly fragile and harmless, lead a group of men in black and wade through blood and corpses to rescue me.

Me: ???!!

Where's my boy? Where's the fragile, adorable boy I know?

[Please read these notes]

* The heroine loves to imagine things. Neither her personality nor her mind is normal. She will take human form later.

* This is a romance novel, so please don't post BL comments.

* The Slime has the elemental attributes from Genshin Impact, plus a little of the author's own interpretation, but the story won't take place in Teyvat.

* A few chapters cross over with Detective Conan, probably only four or five.

* Since the heroine is a Slime, there will be lots of emoticons to describe her expressions. If that bothers you, proceed with caution.

"I'm Selling Fruit Bowls in Yokohama" by Tan Kao Ju Zi

As a half-blood Liyue native, my favorite hobby is farming.

Apples? Grow them! Sunsettia? Grow them!

Granum? Grow it! Valberries, Mintberries, Bulle Fruit... I'll grow every kind of flower, fruit, and vegetable!

My fields kept expanding, and I had far more produce than I could eat, so I opened a fruit shop in another world.

But my customers all seem a little off.

Every so often, a customer asks if I can work as a delivery person and bring fruit bowls to their home. They're badly injured and about to die, and they need my fruit bowls to save their lives.

The police officer has started mysteriously muttering about studying my apples.

A younger girl from nearby pulls me somewhere private and asks if I know magic.

Even the bar a few streets away has started buying fruit from me.

Is this right? Is this normal?

I'm just selling fruit. I can't save lives!

Lord Barbatos and Lord Morax, please bless my shop and let it run smoothly!

A new fruit shop has opened near Chinatown. The owner is a girl who looks delicate and reserved.

One day, Edogawa Ranpo passes by and buys a fruit bowl from the new shop.

Then, as soon as he eats it, he hears a ding in his ear:

[HP +300.]

...Huh?

The great detective has a bad feeling about this.

There's definitely something suspicious about this fruit shop!

After some deduction, the great detective is shocked to discover...

The nearby sorcerers, □□, the police from Beika, and even the King of a neighboring bar are all buying fruit from this shop to make fruit wine.

When he looks up at the delicate, reserved shopkeeper, he is even more shocked to see a health bar floating above her head.

[HP 99999w--!??]

There's definitely something suspicious about this shopkeeper too!
