The man stared straight at her. After a long pause, he said calmly, "My name is Ji Xiao. Ji as in the season, Xiao as in valiant."

Looking at her flushed face and sparkling eyes, Ji Xiao pressed his lips together. After a few seconds of silence, he finally gave in.

He pulled her into his arms and softened his voice. "All right. I know I was wrong."

From within his arms, Wen Jianing asked in a muffled voice, "Then what did you do wrong?"

"I shouldn't have kissed your lips until they were swollen."
