Blurb to be determined

*

Zheng Ci is a detective, struggling to make a living in a society full of surveillance cameras. Business is terrible.

He gets by doing whatever he can, from finding lost dogs one day to catching cheating spouses the next. Then, by chance, the target of an investigation takes a liking to him. He spends some time as a stand-in for someone's beloved, and from then on, he embarks on an irreversible path of solving cases through romance.

Zheng Ci has been a backup option and played the devoted puppy. His specialty is providing emotional support, and he's always been quick and decisive about breaking up. The only trouble comes when his targets want to get back together.

Zheng Ci knows this line of work can't last. It's a young person's game, and if he dates too many people, their social circles will start to overlap. Just as he's worrying about it, he gets a commission worth seven figures.

The client wants him to investigate the person their target has a secret crush on.

Easy!

Zheng Ci investigates and investigates.

Huh?

It seems the person the target has a crush on is him.

Huh?!

And it seems the client is the target!

Zheng Ci is stunned. Damn it, is he even going to get paid for this job?

"Get together with me, and I'll pay you double. Aren't you best at breaking up with people? You can take the money and leave once I've had enough of you, can't you?"

"OK, deal."

But will the day he gets tired of him really come?
