That Day, I Became the Mother of an Otherworldly Species

At first, I began having nightmares every day. I dreamed my belly was huge, as if it were about to burst. Then, covered in blood, a pair of scarlet eyes glowed in the darkness, devoid of feeling, as they emerged through an incision in my belly.

It called me, "M-mommy."

I rolled it into a ball and tossed it in the trash.

Ugly thing. You don't deserve to call me Mom.
