Xiao Mingjie is GOW's jungler. In the summer playoffs of his second year as a pro, his team once again failed to qualify for Worlds.
The veteran captain retired, his teammates transferred, and the future looked uncertain. The mid laner he relied on most, his big brother, was out of contract and didn't know where he was going. As for Xiao Mingjie, he was distracted by transfer rumors popping up on Weibo while on the road and got into a car accident that killed him on the spot.
