She Just Wants to Be Invisible

Lately, rumors have been spreading around A University that the campus heartthrob dumped the campus belle and got together with an inconspicuous nobody.

At a party, a rich young lady who liked the heartthrob invited the nobody, deliberately giving her the wrong time by an hour. When she saw the nobody being stopped outside by her friends, she deliberately asked the heartthrob, "I heard you like that nobody?"

The heartthrob smiled, holding a soda. "Don't make things up. How could I possibly like someone like her?"

The nobody walked into the private room just in time to hear him say it.

The rich young lady was delighted. Now the girl would know better than to keep bothering the heartthrob.

Sure enough, after that, the heartthrob and the nobody barely interacted at school.

But no one knew what happened in an empty classroom:

The heartthrob looked utterly aggrieved. "I did what you told me to. Can I have a reward now?"

The nobody asked him to bend down, then ran her fingers through his freshly permed curls, a hairstyle that made him look like a playboy.

The heartthrob waited a long time, but she made no further move. Unhappy, he raised his head and stared at her lips. "Is that all I get?"

Five years later, the heartthrob had become a hugely popular star. During an interview, when asked about his love life, he smiled. "I've dated before. She dumped me before I even graduated college."

His fans were in an uproar, trying to figure out which blind woman had dumped him.

Later, someone posted a photo of the star standing beside a minor internet celebrity. They looked like a perfect match, and because the internet celebrity was indeed pretty, she wasn't criticized. Instead, she gained tens of thousands of followers.

When the star got home and saw the nobody packing her bags, he flew into a rage, grabbed her wrist, and said with a wounded voice, "Even after all that, you still won't go public with us? Am I really that embarrassing to be seen with?"

The nobody calmly pulled her hand free. "I've told you before, I don't want to draw attention. We're not right for each other."

The star's hand trembled. "You're going to dump me again, aren't you?"
