Claiming the Throne (Insectoid World)

Lucifer's childhood was full of hardship. His female parent, Lucius, was away at war for years, and from a young age he sided with his second brother, Bruce. As his brothers one by one got engaged, Lucifer alone had no great family willing to form a marriage alliance with him, and he faced plenty of exclusion. Fortunately, after years of effort, he had built a good relationship with Bruce, so he wasn't driven into a corner.

Betrayed by his future male spouse, he saw the Leicester family disgraced. He wished the awful male and female couple before him well, then turned and walked away with easy grace. After a video conference with the family elders, he boarded the Third Prince's private interstellar vessel, only to find himself stepping into a net that had been spun for years.
