John's second life begins in an empty isolation ward.

The first scene in his memories: a researcher in a white coat makes a face at him through the glass.

As he grows older, John develops one superpower after another: super strength, X-ray vision, flight... He confidently concludes that he must have transmigrated as Superman, the one the Kents never found!

Although John later realizes that a lot of things don't add up, he chalks it all up to differences between worlds, given DC's multiverse setting.

Hair color, codename, power level... With John's stubborn self-brainwashing, none of it is a problem.

That is, until another Earth crashes into the dimensional wall between worlds and tears a hole in it. Hearing the Watchtower equipment announce, "Biological information mismatch," and seeing the real deal's iconic little curl, John has a complete breakdown.

So all those years of feeling better after sunbathing were just a comforting illusion?!
