[Lin Zhi is the head disciple of the leader of Hegui Mountain, the foremost sect of the immortal world. After falling in love at first sight with his junior, the protagonist's love interest, he risks his life for him and commits every manner of wrongdoing. He is expelled from Hegui Mountain and eventually dies after cutting out his own heart for his junior.]
[Take a look. Is this you?]
925 points at the light screen in midair, then looks at Lin Zhi, lying on the ground half-dead.
"Cough, cough, cough... Back then, I was still... cough, cough, cough!"
[Hey! Lin Zhi!]
Seeing Lin Zhi pass out, 925 lets out a piercing shriek.
After transmigrating into a book and living through the first half of the original cannon-fodder protagonist's life, Lin Zhi awakens his modern memories on the eve of his descent into darkness and binds himself to Sickly System 925.
[Your mission is to push the plot to its conclusion while dragging around your sickly body!]
"All right. I'll handle it. Don't worry."
Lin Zhi clutches his aching heart and squeezes his cold hands into fists.
But then...
He encounters the enigmatic Holy Son and passes out on the spot.
He argues with his second junior brother, who has never gotten along with him, and coughs up blood.
He spars with his mortal enemy, suddenly loses all strength, and falls right into his enemy's arms.
[Wait, Lin Zhi. Something feels really wrong!]
Carried on his mortal enemy's back, Lin Zhi hears the System's steady stream of affection-point notifications as his frozen body slowly regains sensation.
"...What's wrong...?"
"Zhizhi, I've always wanted to protect you..."
His mortal enemy suddenly murmurs.
"Cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough..."
Lin Zhi is so startled he nearly coughs up a lung.
[Zhizhi, we've made a serious mistake in our work. So sad...]
Later, Lin Zhi watches the Holy Son forcibly get the protagonist, his mortal enemy, and his junior brother back on the plot track by throwing them both into the same secret realm. His eyes light up. So the Holy Son is one of us!
A cold and aloof expert at training dogs in public, but a snarky commentator in private, as the love interest (Lin Zhi) x A once detached, desireless Holy Son who becomes a cunning, puppy-like sweetheart, as the protagonist (Min Lian)
